MacLeod's Farewell was composed by accordionist Donald Shaw when fiddler Martin MacLeod left the group Capercaillie. Its name was mistakenly given as The Wedding Reel on a Lunasa album, leading to some confusion.

The full title of the second reel is Crossing the Tay with a Blind Man and his Dog. It was written by Emily Smith.
