Gärdebylåten, or Gärdeby Låten (pronounced
Yerdi-bee-lotten) simply means "the Gärdeby tune" after a
Swedish town. It's very well known
outside Sweden; it's not unusual to hear it played at Edinburgh sessions.
It's so popular, in fact, that in Sweden they sing a song which goes
"Aren't you sick of Gärdeby Låten yet?"
