  Huntingtone Castle

This was possibly a Welsh tune originally, as there is a "Huntington Castle" in Herefordshire. However, it has been known in Scotland for at least 200 years, having been printed in John Bowie's 'Collection of Strathspey Reels and Country Dances' of 1789.

I used to play this tune with a band; we started with a slow air (Rory Dall‘s Sister‘s Lament) and then played Huntingtone Castle at a brisk pace. The most difficult thing about the tune, possibly, is that some notes are "dotted" while others aren't.
