This aria, which translates as Oh, My Dear Daddy, is from Puccini's one-act opera Gianni Schicci, first staged in 1918. This arrangement is based upon Italian mandolinist Carlo Aonzo's rendering of it on the CD Traversata (Acoustic Disc ACD-47, 2001). It is tremoloed throughout.
