Slow Session
Session Class Repertoire Etiquette Back to: Session Index Traditional Music |
It's not easy knowing what tunes to learn for sessions, as each session is different and even within each session tunes com in and out of fashion. For the Wednesday Slow Session we've tried to compile a common repertoire so that people can learn a few tunes and know that if they start them, others will join in. I have also prepared three books of session tunes which contain the bulk of the tunes which form the repertoire of the Wednesday Slow Session. For further details and how to obtain these books, visit www.alpscotsmusic.org. Below is a list of sets I've compiled to help you guard against drying up when it comes to choosing the next tune. If you have any other questions or problems, let me know (email me).
