Jimmy MacFarlane |
I
know almost nothing about Jimmy MacFarlane, except that he played fiddle,
vibes and tin whistle, mostly with The Jim Macleod Band, with whom he
recorded several LPs in the 1960s and 70s. On some of these records Jimmy
would be given a track on which to show off his whistle skills. His choices
ranged from Scottish tunes, through his own compositions, to wild displays
such as The Penny Whistle Samba. Among his other talents was whistling
(the human kind) and songwriting.
