Mae McKenna (sister of Hugh McKenna of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band) was introduced to a band formed by Billy Jackson, George Jackson and John Martin. Signed to Transatlantic in 1973, they recorded one album, Contraband (1974). Mae left for a solo career early in 1975 and recorded several solo albums. Although a replacement was tried, Contraband disbanded in the Spring of 1975.

solo career	disappeared	The Jags	1976 until 1980 Billy, George and John joined forces with Billy Ross. Two albums: Ossian (1977) and St Kilda Wedding (1978).
