Smile Haggis Supper!
How many of you will be playing at a Burns Supper?

If you are actually hosting one, you might like to register it HERE

We're actually having one in Bushmills, so you can be sure we'll be drinking ..... Lemonade! Big Grin

Cheers

4 in a week next week, then a "Jean Armour" night the following week!
I shall start to look like a haggis!

RE: Haggis Supper!
Well I'm delighted to say I attended the Burns Supper in Bushmills last night & I even got a chance to play my Fiddle.
Of course as Burns was a Fiddler himself, that was kind of appropriate.
Do most Scottish Burns Suppers have a Fiddler these days?

As it was Bushmills, Ireland we of course drank Bushmills, not Scotch! Cool

Anyway, the evening went very well indeed & the food was absolutely wonderful.
Shame we can only get Haggis once a year over here. Sad

As with most Burns Suppers in Ireland though, they only served a small portion of Haggis .. as a starter! Rolleyes
Having said that, half the folk didn't even eat the Haggis anyway, but had SOUP instead! Angry

Going to a Burns Supper & not eating Haggis is surely a bit like going to a Roman Orgy .... & reading a book! Tongue

Cheers

RE: Haggis Supper!
Just off to my 4th Burns supper in a week tonight - surviving - not yet had a dram as driving, but won't be tonight! Supposed to be singing Braw Lads O' Gala Water, which might get a few heckles as it's in a rugby club - and NOT Gala Rugby Club! Big Grin
Have only had to eat haggis twice, and last night it was very nicely done as "flying haggis" - i.e. wrapped up in chicken and in Drambuie sauce. Angel
Jean Armour night next week, so it will be "What can a Young lassie Dae Wi' an Auld Man"! Undecided
Wey-hey, I've just minim-ised myself!
