Whisky Medley
Have just added a pair of tunes to my SoundCloud page, Niel Gow's "Farewell to Whisky" and "Whiskey Before Breakfast", the origins of which I do not know, so help would be welcome here from the more knowledgeable among you.
Played on my usual mixture of mandolin, octave, tenor banjo and guitar and recorded as usual on Reaper then rendered to mp3 for posting on SoundCloud. Whisky Medley JK Mandolins - Handcrafted in Argyll, Scotland. |

RE: Whisky Medley
Nice set! We do (slightly tongue in cheek!) a set that we call the "Burns Supper set" - starts with a nice sweet and gentle "Lea Rig" then goes on to - oh no it couldn't ever happen, could it? - "The Drunken Piper" and finishes with (the morning after the night before) - "Farewell to Whisky".

RE: Whisky Medley
Now there is a progression! Have you a link to you playing this set? All you need is someone coming in with Kris Kristofferson's "Sunday Morning Coming Down" as the last number; I'm sure Burns would not have minded an inclusion from across the Atlantic!
Thanks for your response, Trish. Appreciated as always. JK Mandolins - Handcrafted in Argyll, Scotland. |
