RE: Playing for a Wedding nr North Berwick
Only personal experience to the extent that I have a rough idea of what bands and musicians will charge for folk clubs, festivals, regular concerts etc and what they generally expect if asked to play at a wedding or a corporate event etc is usually much higher. In my position, it would be inappropriate and unethical to provide examples.
If there is the demand out there and they are good enough, then good luck to them. There's always people getting married, after all. Of course, I'm not suggesting that this would be the situation when friends(I assume they will soon become so if they aren't already)are involved or invited. Far from it, I'm sure. “Don’t believe everything you read on the internet just because there’s a picture with a quote next to it.”
