Hi,

A friend had thought that since I attend some of the SMG classes that I might be able to help find him a Ceilidh band at very short notice.

Does anyone know of any band that would be able to play at a wedding on sat 13th August at a venue near Edinburgh? (Dalhousie Castle, Bonnyrigg, towards Dalkeith)

I know its all very last minute. The bride, Sarah, a close friend, is 6 months pregnant and was last month diagnosed with lung cancer. Her boyfriend proposed to her last week, and the wedding needs to happen before the baby is induced in a few weeks time (after which she will start chemo).

Just in-case anyone was following this thread and wanted to know what happened ...

my friend Sarah took a turn for the worse, so the baby was induced 12 weeks early on Sun 7th Aug (baby girl, premature, but ok), but unfortunately Sarah never fully recovered and she passed-way on Wed 10th Aug. She was only 42 years old. Her wedding was meant to have been today. Sad

Make the most of life ... you never know whats around the corner.

may I wish the little girl a long and happy life as her mother would have wished
hope you and all of Sarahs friends will someday attend her daughters wedding and perhaps welcome another little girl into the world in happier circumstances

That' s really sad news re Sarah, Ian.
My condolences to Sarah's family and friends, and as Ursula has said, hope the wee girl does really well.
