Drummond Castle
I first heard this tune from two albums almost simultaneously: Alba's debut (and only) album in 1977, and Alison Kinnaird's wonderful The Harp Key (1978). Drummond Castle is actually a couple of miles from my home town of Crieff, so it has local relevance. There is an important fiddle manuscript in the castle, but I have never seen it. One day. ![]() Nigel Gatherer Crieff, Perthshire |

RE: TOW#15: Drummond Castle
Fixed the link now.
I've got a brand new desktop computer, so I'll need to record some more stuff, audio and video. When I get time... Nigel Gatherer Crieff, Perthshire |

RE: TOW#15: Drummond Castle
Thanks for this suggestion, Nigel, and thanks Tosh for posting your version earlier. You inspired me to have a go at the tune myself, using my octave mandolin and travel guitar (both self-builds).
