recommended cleaning techniques
What do you consider the best way to keep a lacquered mandolin looking nice and clean? Only although there are a number of 'recommended' products advertised on the web, perhaps it is best just to give the occasional buff up with a soft cloth rather than apply any chemical which might interact with the wood? For example, rosin left on a fiddle (violin owners are apparently more careful) certainly hardens the wood, eventually deadening the sound, and I am a little concerned in case applying chemicals might have a similar effect.
Advice, suggestions etc. are warmly welcomed. Many thanks. Eric |
