Jimmie Macgregor

One of my musical heroes was Jimmie Macgregor who, apart from all his other achievements, was one of the first mandolin players in the folk revival. I think his first recording using the mandolin was in 1958.

It deals with how he got started in folk music, how he met his musiocal partner Robin Hall, the people he played with, and also features some of his work during his broadcasting years. Grand stuff - although five hours is no quick bite!
