A beautiful tune played beautifully too, John.
It would sound very good on the harp too. Do you have the dots?

Thanks for that, John.
I'll have a go at this one. On the mandolin first though. ;-)

Many thanks, indeed, John for this great tune. It's particularly nice in that it is scored as a simple duet, and I was wondering if you know of a source purely for folk mandolin duets (as opposed to, for example, mandolin and guitar)? At the moment I'm simply noting duets down as and when they arise from books, websites etc., which is not exactly expedient. All the best, Eric.

Eirc, I do not have such a site in mind at present. I am working on various fiddle tunes as a member of the Lochgoilhead Fiddle Workshop (at Strachur) and have done one or two arrangements of tunes. I could mail you a couple I have done recently if they'd be of interest. I play guitar and mandolin more with the fiddlers as my fiddle playing is not yet ready for the wider world, but i enjoy trying to get it to sound in tune!
JAJ, you're right about playing both parts together on mandolin - tricky to finger. Ah, the joys of being able to record multi tracks in the comfort of one's home!

Yes, it's the same Charles Gore, and a lovely man he is. I've had the pleasure of playing a couple of tunes with him, but that's going back a wee bit now.
