[CTMG] Friday 12th December
CTMG (Crieff Traditional Music Group)

The last evening of term Friday 12th - will be just for us, and selected guests. We can't get the main hall that night, so there's no room for a lot of people. We'll have a table for snacks and drinks, and everyone is welcome to do a wee turn if they wish. We'll also be playing lots of sets as an ensemble, so hopefully you can make it, and I'll see you there.

Thanks to everybody who made it a great evening: Eddie, Douglas and Mike for giving us some great sing-alongs; Jake for wowing us with the pipes; Kenny for superb melancholy; Charlie was having us in stitches; Bill for showing us how the penny whistle plays ragtime; the Strathearn Bluegrass Band for justifying all that practice (you were great, guys!) and the whole ensemble for making it just right: a musical evening with friends.

One of the highlights of the evening was the bluegrass group, who - I'm afraid to say - surprised me by being SO GOOD! I was given a CD of their rehearsals, which I've just listened to, and it's great. I'm just sorry that I can't attend these Sunday nights more, but by the time Sunday comes along, I'm usually very tired and just want to stay at home. But believe me, I have become a fan, and I'll support you in any way I can.
