EMGO Web site
Chairman Lewis kindly pointed out a couple of errors on the EMGO web site, which I have managed to correct (themidi for Zamba de Vargas, and M1 for Cueca). I need people to tell me, because I'll never find out by myself. If you come across anything that doesn't work, tell me and I'll fix it when I can.

Good!

Nigel,

I posted up a range of suggstions for the site on 15 December - they're shown under the "EMGO web site" you created earlier. They're aimed at up-dating and, perhaps, improving what is said. For example, there were suggestions on updatring the flyers and cards about EMGO - aimed at publiicty - which got another mention at the end of the SGM on 22 Jan

Mutual invisibilty?

This thread was specifically about errors, but I take your point. You're right: I haven't got around to amending the site to reflect your suggestions. I will, one day!

RE: EMGO Web site
I have amended the members' pages and added the new postcard and flyer artwork in PDF format.

In the new format there are three pages of interest to members:

Music - links to the music for the music we're playing.
Admin - copies of the constitution, and flyers, postcards, etc.
Gigs - details of concerts and events which are coming up. This page will be expanded as more information becomes available.

As usual, all comments and criticism welcome.

In answer to Mandopicker's question:
Quote:...are we planning on making the recordings of our music available to the wider world?

There is a problem with copyright, which is why our music is in a password-protected area. But this is something which we will explore as we develop, I should think.

Nigel

Well done! I think that's a useful development - well, I would say that, wouldn't I?

The 4 April Sangstream event is NOT to be at Stockbridge as before but at -

St Bride's Centre
10 Orwell Terrace
Edinburgh, EH11 2DY
Scotland
Phone: 0131 346 1405
Website: stbrides.wordpress.com

Would it be feasible for non-menbers to access the gigs page, perhaps?

No. There is a case for having another page for people to see what concerts we're doing, etc, but this page will be for members to get info about start times, addresses, possibly programmes too. The new public page will have to wait for a week or two...

Yes, I thought so

But an extra public page or two would be 1st class and help a lot on the publicity front

Good!
