Well done for being brave enough to stick your head above the parapet, Sarah.
Many thanks for these, Sarah. Do you have (treble clef) harmonies for any of them?
Cheers,
Eric

Hi Eric,
I don't have harmonies for these particular tunes but I do have chords - contact me via my website if you'd like me to send them.
Cheers,
Sarah

Many thanks, Sarah. What put me in mind of providing harmonies was that at the Monday night session I go to (at Kirkliston) folks sometimes start playing harmonies and the sound produced is immediately enriched. In the 'classical' mandolin scene I have found that much of the (especially Baroque) music is written as duets, and it has struck me that the provision of melody & harmony would be equally useful in the 'Celtic' scene. Just a thought.
Cheers,
Eric

We'll have to agree to differ there. It's not what's generally expected or even welcomed at most Scottish and Irish(not Celtic) sessions.
Of course, a "performance" situation is an entirely different matter but an informal gathering of musicians shouldn't be the place for "planned" or rehearsed arrangements.
Love the reel, Sarah. Been playing it on tenor guitar and mandolin family instruments this afternoon since downloading it. May have a go at recording a version with your permission and posting a link here. Thanks in the meantime!
Cheers, John! Feel free to post a recording - look forward to hearing it.
Sarah, thanks for your permission to try your reel. Here is the link to my SoundCloud page and the tune. I played it on octave mandolin and tenor guitar, alternating and combining them and adding acoustic guitar backing. Would be interested in the chords you used - I kept them to A,D,F#min,Bmin and E7.
