Scottish/Irish Tunes

I have long been interested in tunes and tune histories. Ever since I've had collections of tunes I've made notes in the margins about tunes: alternative names, composers, backgrounds, and so on. One side of this which has always fascinated me is finding tunes of Scottish origin in the Irish tradition. Some of these are obvious and well-known, such as Miss McCloud's Reel, others not so obvious and some downright surprising.

I'm also an inveterate writer of lists, as you may perceive from my writings. One reason is that I'm terrified of forgetting things, but another reason for starting some of the lists of tunes on this website is that there may be others out there who would find such lists interesting.

So, here's the start of my list of Scottish tunes found in Irish collections, irish sessions, LPs, CDs, etc. It's a long-term project, but starting it has to be done. Any comments or contributions welcome (email me).
